Fall’s here!

I’m a scientist at EMBL Barcelona, looking forward to learning stem cell biology. I am still managing the epithelial mechanics community.

I just moved back to Barcelona from NYC. Uufff. It was very nerve-wracking to move from one place to another, find jobs for everyone, find a flat to rent, especially in Barcelona, get papers through peer review, and write a grant. Somehow, I managed to do it all. I feel very lucky that it worked out. I miss Central Park and my NYC friends though.

I’m in a neighborhood I love, on top of a bar I love. I’m in a century-old flat, which was hell in the summer, but now it’s getting nice. I like the people going around, people drinking out on the terraces, and long summer hours. Life’s going ok.

I’m feeling excited for future experiments, in life and in the lab.

I like going around my barri with my CCD camera, taking pictures of old modernist buildings and their window railings. Thinking about what's the goal of my life? as my dad asks me.
